CORALINA convokes members of the raizal community to inscribe to choose representatives for the directive council of the same

The Director General CORALINA, Engineer Durcey Alison Stephens Lever inexercise of his faculties and those granted by law 99 of 1993 and especially those conferred by the Ministry of Environment, Housing and Sustainable Development, is inviting the raizal community of the Archipelago Department to inscribe as candidates (man or woman) in the process of popular election of the two (2) raizal representatives from San Andres and one (1) representative (man or woman) of the raizal community from Providence before Directive Council of Coralina for the institutional period from January 1st, 2020 to December 31st, 2023.

The requirements to participate are the following:

• Be over 18 years of age, photocopy of citizenship card (ID).

• Belong to the raizal ethnic people (photocopy of the Occre card indicating their condition of Raizality, or certificate issued by the Occre that he/she belongs to the ethnic group according to their ancestral origin, necessary documents to prove their status as part of the raizal ethnic group).
• Not having been sanctioned for environmental violations in the archipelago. (Certification issued by the legal assistant director of Coralina)

• Certificate of existence and legal representation issued by the Chamber of Commerce.
The non-profit entity must be constituted at least four years before the date of the election.

• Sworn statement of the candidate that he/she has permanent residence in the archipelago, for at least the last five years.

• The applicant candidate must comply with the established in Law 47 of 1993.

• Be a high-school graduate, submit a copy of the degree.

• Accredit knowledge or experience in environmental issues. Situation that is accredited with diplomas or certificates of studies in environmental issues and / or labor certificates or its equivalent.
• Not being involved in the cause of disabilities and incompatibilities.

• Not having a criminal, disciplinary and / or fiscal record.

• Submit a proposal indicating the reasons why you want to postulate your name for the Directive Council of Coralina. Proposal that must include a written statement that expresses your willingness to participate in the democratic process of popular election as representative of the raizal ethnic people before the Directive Council of Coralina.

• Two black and white photographs, on matte paper with a completely white background.

The documents for inscription must be submitted from October 24th to November 20th of this year.

The documents will be reviewed on November 21st and 22nd of this year, while on November 26th, 2019 in the Walwin Petersen room from 8:00 a.m. and on this same day in the municipal council from from 4:00 p.m. in Providence will be carrying out the celebrations of the public hearing on the rendering of the report.

On the same November 26th, the raffling of the candidates that participate in the process will be carried out, in addition to the publication of the results and of the voting cards on Coralina website.

And by December 6th of this year will be the electoral day for the election of candidates representing the raizal community before the corporation's Directive Council.
Inscriptions will be made at coralina headquarters on the aforementioned dates from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.
