DESDE ESTE LUNES Y HASTA ESTE MIERCOLES EL PARQUE JOHNNY CAY ESTARÁ CERRADO
San Andrés Isla, 18 de marzo del 2024. La Corporación para el Desarrollo Sostenible CORALINA, en marco de las medidas y recomendaciones entregadas por el Tribunal Contencioso Administrativo, estará cumpliendo con el cierre temporal de Johnny Cay Regional Park desde este lunes 18 y hasta este miércoles 20 de marzo, de manera que se le pueda dar un respiro a los ecosistemas de este atractivo turístico bastante visitado por turistas y residentes.
De acuerdo a lo expresado por el Subdirector de Mares y Costas de CORALINA, Gilberto Myles, esta medida cumple con las recomendaciones hechas por el Tribunal Administrativo de las islas, pero también para que los prestadores d servicios turísticos desarrollen jornadas de mantenimiento y ornato, de manera que en la reapertura del parque nautral, se puedan mejorar atenciones y presentar una nueva cara a turistas de este atractivo turístico de la isla.
Igualmente, entidades de la administración departamental como Secretaria de Turismo, Salud y Capitanía de Puerto estarán atendiendo con talleres y recomendaciones a todos los prestadores de servicios del cayo, para que mejoren la prestación del servicio.
CORALINA, también cumplirá acciones de jornadas de aseo y mantenimiento de las trampas de grasa, las motobombas y baños públicos allí en el Johnny Cay Regional Park.

CORALINA Sustainable Development Corporation, within the framework of the measures and recommendations delivered by the Contentious Administrative Court, will be complying with the temporary closure of Johnny Cay Regional Park from this Monday the 18th until this Wednesday March 20, so that the ecosystems of this tourist attraction quite visited by tourists and residents can be given a break.
According to what was expressed by the Sub-director of Seas and Coasts of CORALINA, Gilberto Myles, this measure complies with the recommendations made by the Administrative Court of the islands, but it is also for the tourism service providers to have maintenance and decoration days, so that in the reopening of the natural park, services can be improved and a new face can be presented to visitors of this tourist attraction on the island.
Likewise, entities of the departmental administration such as the Secretary of Tourism, of Health, and the Port Captain's Office will be providing workshops and recommendations to all the service providers of the cay so that they improve the provision of the service.
CORALINA will also carry out cleaning and maintenance activities for the grease traps, motor pumps and public bathrooms there at the Johnny Cay Regional Park.
